Today we are thrilled to announce the one-year anniversary of Games from Microsoft Start! It’s been a year of hard work, growth and most importantly – countless moments of fun playing games.
On July 20, 2022, we launched Games from Microsoft Start with a mission to create the ultimate destination for people to discover and play games instantly in their browsers. These games range from familiar titles like Microsoft Solitaire, to sports, arcade, puzzle, strategy, card games and more. Little did we know how far we would come in just one year. Since our launch, tens of millions of gamers have discovered fun and entertainment through Microsoft Start, collectively totaling more than four billion minutes of gameplay.
One of the most amazing aspects of Games from Microsoft Start is the variety. From simple puzzle games crafted with HTML to highly polished multiplayer and 3D games powered by cutting-edge advancements in WebGL, Web Assembly and WebGPU, we have it all. We have embraced the evolution of technology, allowing us to broaden the possibilities and provide a rich gaming experience right in your browser. The potential is endless, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!
