As housing costs continue to outpace earning abilities for many in Los Angeles, we look at the stories of a 25-year old barista and a 60-year old immigrant family man trying to carve out a stable economic future for themselves and their families. Faced with the reality of spending between 50% to 90% of income on housing, the American dream has become the American nightmare for many.
